Some things never change, and some things do. All we have to do is make the best of what we can change and leave what we can't alone.......

SUMMER !!
School is finally out!
And now I don't know what to do with my time....
So if anybody has any ideas, let me know...
Wish I could have ended the year on a better note, but what can you do...
So here's to a great summer!

Flying Pigs?

So...the Swine Flu.
In case you don't know, I hate FOX News. They tend to exaggerate everything they report. Take the swine flue for example. One FOX News report called it the next "Black Plague".
Okay. I understand if there people are scared about contracting the virus, but really? The Black Plague?
A little history.
The Black Plague was a disease that swept through Europe because of unhygienic environments. People didn't know they were supposed to wash their hands after going to the bathroom. (Things haven't gotten any better.) It ended up killing millions of people in medieval Europe.
So you want to compare the swine flu to that?
Even though it's not something to be taken lightly, you don't need to make it into this death sentence.
So to all the news networks out there (FOX): STICK TO THE TRUTH!

Good News
This week, I heard the best news I have heard in a long time.
Don't ask me what it is.
It is enough that change has been stopped, even for a little while.
Just know that it was good, very good.
Don't ask me what it is.

Just know that it was good, very good.

Are We Sending the Right Message?

I was talking to a friend of mine who did not share the same religious beliefs as I did. I never took him for the deep intellectual type, so it took me off guard when he said that he was tired of religion. I didn't know what to say so I just listened to what he said next. I listened as he provided an explanation as to why religion divided people. By having and competing for different interpretations of the Bible, religion drove people away from God instead of drawing them near. People spend so much time trying to turn the Church into a form of propaganda that it has lost its meaning in the world. It is no longer relevant to people. This got me thinking. Is the Church, whether Catholic, Baptist, or Pentecostal, really showing God's Love to the world? We need to stop condemning the world around us and look at our own defects. How can we be the Light when our own light is so dim? When we attempt to separate ourselves from the rest of the world, it separates us from the lost and, more importantly, it separates us from God's will and purpose for us on Earth. To live in Christ, we need to live fully in Him, but also fully in the world. We need to live fully in this world, but never become a part of it. There is a fine line.
People, let's shape up.
Let's get the right message out there.
